Position: Senior Web / Front-End Developer

We are seeking a Senior Web Developer to join our technical team as the principal developer for the web tier of our enterprise payments platform. This position provides an opportunity to become an integral part of an effective development team in which you can challenge and grow your technical skills and expertise.

Responsibilities

Principal focus will be design and implementation within the Web Tier, including work in the following technologies: JSF, JSP, Servlets, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, Struts.
Responsible for web tier security and JEE integration to service/ business tiers, and/or remote web services.
Responsible for design within the best patterns for session management, security, fault handling and user experience optimization.
Design and execute test cases for unit and feature testing
Write and maintain technical documentation
Effectively contribute to building the overall knowledge and expertise of the technical team.

Skills and Experience

Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Minimum 5+ years of web design and development experience.
Experience building web-based, scalable enterprise business applications.
Strong web interface design and development skills.
Experience with JSP, JSF, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, Ajax, Struts, Web Services, Java, J2EE, Java EE5, EJB.
Experience with application servers such as Glassfish, Tomcat, Resin.
Experience with NetBeans, Eclipse, SVN, Maven, Bamboo, Selenium.
Experience with databases including MySQL, Oracle, or MSSQL.
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is an asset.
Strong visual design skills are an asset.
Must be an effective and efficient problem solver.
Possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal direction.
Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills including well developed verbal and written English.
Experience developing financial transaction applications is an asset.
