Which banks can I use to fund my hyperWALLET?

 

You can add funds to your hyperWALLET from any of the following Canadian financial institutions:

**Note: Funds can be transferred to hyperWALLET from over 200 credit unions in Canada.  Credit union members are encouraged to contact their credit union to check if hyperWALLET is available to them.

 


 

Which credit unions can I use with hyperWALLET?

 

You can CashOut to any Credit Union in North America.Through it's lead banking relationship, hyperWALLET can service 200+ credit unions in Canada!

 

If your credit union does not include hyperWALLET in its list of companies that can be added as a payee, please contact your credit union and ask them to add hyperWALLET to the list of eligible payees.

 


 

How do I add hyperWALLET as a payee?

 

1. Log in to your online banking service (you may also setup hyperWALLET as a payee through your bank's telephone banking service or by visiting your branch.)

 

2. Select the Bill Payment option.

 

3. Select the 'Add Payee' or 'Add a Biller' option.

 

4. Search for hyperWALLET or hyperWALLET.com and select it to add as a payee.

 

5. Enter your hyperWALLET account information (Wallet ID #) and submit your information.

 

6. hyperWALLET is now added to your Payee list. You may now transfer money into your Wallet in the same way as you would pay a bill.

Bill payments typically take 1 business day to reach hyperWALLET, and in certain circumstances (ex. large amounts, first-time transfers) bill payments may be subject to a security review prior to being cleared to your Wallet.

 

Please Note: While you are not limited in the amount you can pay into your hyperWALLET via a bill payment, daily and weekly CashOut limits do apply. Please review these limits on our Fees & Limits page prior to making a bill payment into your hyperWALLET.

 


 

How do I get money into my hyperWALLET?


1. Log in to your online banking service.

2. Select the Bill Payment option.

3. Select hyperWALLET as the payee (if hyperWALLET is not one of your current options, see "How do I add hyperWALLET as a payee?", above).

4. Enter the amount you want to transfer.

5. Finalize your transaction.

6. Make note of the transaction confirmation number provided by your bank.

 

Bill payments made to a hyperWALLET account typically take 1-2 business days to appear in hyperWALLET and may be subject to extra verification depending on the amount and whether it is the first time that a payment is being made from a particular bank account.

I just transferred funds from my bank account to hyperWALLET. When will the funds be in my hyperWALLET account?

 

If you are transferring funds from the credit union account linked to your Wallet using Instant AddCash, the funds will be credited to your Wallet instantly.

 

If you transfer funds using a credit union or other bank account account that is NOT linked to your Wallet using the bill payment method, the transfers may take up to 2 business days to be credited to your Wallet.

 


 

My bank requires a hyperWALLET account number. What is my account number?

 

Your account number is also referred to as your Wallet ID. It is an alphanumeric ID starting with a CS and followed by 7 to 13 digits.

 

Your Wallet ID is given to you at the completion of the sign up process and can be found at the top right of your Wallet when you are logged in to your hyperWALLET account.

 


 

What is a PENDING Transaction?

 

hyperWALLET allows its members to perform certain transactions before their Wallet contains the funds to pay for those transactions.  In such a situation, the transaction is held as PENDING until sufficient funds arrive in the Wallet.

 

Once new funds arrive in the member's Wallet, pending transactions are cleared in a first in - first out basis. If the Wallet does not contain sufficient funds to clear the oldest pending transaction, none of the pending transactions will be cleared.

 

If you would like to clear a transaction other than the oldest pending transaction, you must cancel the older transactions.  To do this, click the [Cancel] link next to the transaction you would like to cancel, then click the 'Confirm' button.

 

Please Note:  The email notification of the transaction (e.g. a Beam) is not sent until the transaction is processed.
