Java Developers
hyperWALLET is seeking Java developers of all skill levels (junior, intermediate to senior experience) to join our technical team.
We have openings for developers with strengths in either web front-end and/or back-end architecture.
Our positions provide the opportunity to become an integral part of an effective development team, in which you can challenge and grow your technical skills and expertise.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new software features and solutions
- Design and development of communication modules and APIs with external partners
- Architect, develop and maintain a structured web front-end
- Design and execute test cases for unit and feature testing
- Maintain, update and support existing software features and solutions
- Write and maintain technical documentation
- Effectively contribute to building the overall knowledge and expertise of the technical team.
- Obtain a strong knowledge and understanding of our software solutions
Education and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Minimum 2+ years of job experience programming in JAVA
- Experience building web-based, scalable enterprise business applications
- Experience with either front-end or server side development
- Experience with JAVA, J2EE, JSP, STRUTS, Spring, and XML
- Experience in web interface development using JSP, JSF, HTML, AJAX, Tag libraries, CSS
- Experience developing in Unix or Linux environments
- Experience with Resin, Apache, Eclipse, CVS
- Experience with databases including MySQL, Oracle, or MSSQL
- Strong testing, configuration and deployment skills
- Must be an effective and efficient problem solver
- Possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal direction
- Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills including well developed verbal and written English
- Experience developing financial transaction applications is an asset
